I DID IT!!!

I have learned how to roll from my back to my tummy...finally!!! I worked so hard in physical therapy today and blew everyone away by rolling over about 4 times. Mommy captured this video later in the day...I wasn't too happy at this point...although I started to roll over, I was pretty tired after doing it so many times today. As you will be able to see, it is very difficult for me to bring my legs over...they are heavy.

Mommy and I are going to Reno on Wednesday to see Oma, Papa and Uncle Jeremy. We are going to be gone for a week. I've never been there so this ought to be interesting. Mommy promises it will be cooler than the 118 degrees that it was here in Bullhead City today. I sure am going to miss Daddy though, I haven't been away from him for this long of a period. Who's going to pull his hair or poke his eyes out??? I'll have to ask London, my nephew, to take care of these important tasks for me. See you all around the 4th of July.

Dancing

This is a cute little video of London and I dancing...dancing...we're dancing machines!!!

More swimming!!

Mommy, Daddy and I went swimming on Saturday at Jeff & Sharice's house. They have a really cool indoor pool that overlooks the river. It doesn't get any better than that!! I swam on my back for the first time and I loved it. Mommy and I are going to take swimming lessons in July...I can't wait!!

Major bumps!!

Okay...there is one little story Mommy has not been telling you all about. I have been breaking out in these bumps every so often. They first appeared last year on my arms. Then in April, my face broke out in the horrible rash above. Ewww!! Then my back, then my feet. They are so ugly and everyone thinks I have the chickenpox...but I don't. When we first went to the doctor, he thought maybe they were part of the Herpes family, not a cold sore...not a chickenpox...somewhere in between. So we were treating it as such.
Mommy couldn't stand it anymore and demanded to find out more about this horrid rash. My pediatrician then thought maybe it was a bacterial infection or a reaction to latex. I have to take extreme cautions with latex because spina bifida kids tend to be allergic to it. They drew three huge vials of blood from me a few weeks ago and discovered it was not part of the herpes family nor was it an infection. Yea!! They said I tested positive for a food allergy.
What?!?!?!?! I only eat 7 things and now I'm allergic to one of them. GREAT..... So they had to take more blood to do a more extensive allergy test and guess what I am allergic to????? Anybody?????
EGGS!! This stinks because two of my favorite foods to eat are egg noodles and pancakes. MMM-Yummy...
So that's the scoop, eggs (mainly the whites) are causing me to look like I have the cooties.

Sharing a snack

I thought Elmo needed a bite...tee-hee

Pooped!!

I was so tired after swimming that I fell asleep in my crib sitting up.

Swimming!!

This is Riley!!
Mommy and I went to Laurie's house to go swimming on Thursday. I had so much fun!! I swam with Riley (funny...that's my last name) and Taylor. Then, we had lunch inside and played for awhile. We'll have to do it again soon!!

My first night away from Mommy

Playing with Jacob's cars.
Playing with Jacob
Jacob thinks I've had enough of playing with his stuff....
Mommy and Daddy went away for the night and I got to stay with Aunt Shaunacie and cousin, Jacob. Auntie, Jacob and I played all day and night. I think I was missing Mommy a little because I wasn't eating any of my food, only drinking bottles...which, of course, was causing concern for Aunt Shaunacie.

But all in all I had a good time and Mommy & Daddy enjoyed their time alone in Flagstaff. It was Mommy's first time away from me overnight and she told me she was okay until the ride home. She started missing me so bad she started crying, and said it felt like her heart was on the outside of her chest. Daddy kept saying we are only an hour from home, hang on. Silly Mommy.

Urology update

What a long day...as you can probably tell by my photo...I'm pooped (but still cute as ever!!) . Mommy and I did a turn around trip on Tuesday to Phoenix. My appt was at 2, so Mommy and I left about 7:15 and got home that night around 7:45. Call us the crazz-ee gurls!!

Since my appt was at Phoenix Childrens Hospital today, we stopped at Dr. Moss' office (neurosurgery) to say "hi" to Mary, then we went one building over to see my urologist, Dr. Ritchey. We got to see his assistant, Laree...she is about to pop with baby #4...at least it's a girl this time. Sadie did my urodynamics test and Mommy could tell by Laree's expression that things weren't good.

To be honest...my last test wasn't so hot either. My kidneys still looked good in the ultrasound they did in February, and that is kind of the objective, to keep my kidneys clear and free of urine reflux from the bladder and ureters. So, with having said that, this uro test did not show any improvement in my bladder pressure and its ability to hold the urine before leaking. (Like I said in my previous post a few days ago...it's opposite of what you think it should be. Get it???) At this time, Dr. Ritchey did not want to change anything as far as my medicine is concerned but he does want Mommy to start cathing me at night while I'm sleeping.

Dr. Ritchey has ordered a renal ultrasound for September and if things look good, he will reorder the uro test in another 6 months. If things do not improve by that time, Mommy, Daddy and the Dr. might have to talk about surgery options. :-(

Hercules!!

I am so strong!! Mommy says my upper body is just incredible...alot like Hercules!! Here I am trying to pull myself up onto a table. Ya-ya, I know, mommy doesn't know how to hold a camera the right way so crank your neck to the side and watch my brute strength. I actually get my butt off the ground twice. ;-)
